The Immovable Theophany, an affirmative poem
Notes From the Margins, Numbers 10
By Cloud and Fire, I am led through the wilderness
for in these is His presence contained
the immovable Theophany through my uncertain journey.
He is my navigator, compassing me for He is my hedge
my proverbial Psalm in its 23rd scene
with supernatural pillar posted over me
and reverential guidance covering me
with goodness and mercy pursuing me
I am led to camps of victory.
From captive to inheritor I catapult
I am a study in transition
from bondage to freedom because I belong to Him,
fully surrendered as His beloved.
He is the Moses to my Egypt, my Prophet preferred
the progenitor of promise who hovers
my Protector in the wilderness Who covers
to Whose arch I am covenanted
smothered in His grace until my breath becomes His.
I am breathless.
Immovable until He leads.
In stillness, I remain
until He leads.
