My daughter was born with full body eczema. Multiple doctor’s visits to address her condition resulted in prescriptions for cortisone and steroid creams which left her skin scarred from chemical burns. These strong medications did not help in the treatment of her eczema and certainly did nothing to heal her skin. She was miserable, itchy and always uncomfortable. I knew there had to be a more natural, gentle, and holistic way to give her relief and heal her skin.

Takara essentials was started in 2002 in my small apartment kitchen with a pot full of melted soap and a few soap molds. In an effort to help my daughter’s condition externally, I sought to develop body products that would treat and heal her. Through God's guidance this effort grew and expanded to offer a wide array of body care products intended to provide optimum health and beauty to one's skin and overall well-being. Through years of research and testing, I developed a line of body care products made with the finest, purest, most natural ingredients nature has to offer. My feeling is that one does not need to look to science and chemical compositions in order to get the best product for their skin. We need only to look to nature and all the priceless and tangible gifts God has given us, such as flowers, herbs and oils. These are all we need to reach the highest pinnacle of health and beauty. My prayer is that anyone who experiences Takara Essentials body products will receive healing and reap all the benefits of giving their skin the very best nature has to offer.

All the products in this line are carefully handmade without machines or chemicals. They are not pre-made or mass produced, giving the customer the highest level of guaranteed freshness and purity. Takara Essentials contain absolutely no chemical additives or preservatives, which for some items render a limited shelf-life (3-5 months) and each product is not made until after it is ordered. In an effort to enhance a feeling of self-love and positive self-care, I created a line of products that are nurturing, nourishing and safe for one's skin. I feel it is our responsibility to take care of our bodies now because we will not get another one. The onus is on us to give our bodies the best nutrition, rest and protection it needs to successfully carry us through life. Our bodies are God's sacred temple and should be treated as such.
